Vocational training for young doctors who will become professional doctors
This center provides vocational training for young doctors fresh out of medical school and lifelong training for hospital staff.

Operation System

This center is a wing of Center of Education, School of Medicine, Nagoya University, which trains young doctors before graduating from medical school. This center's Postgraduate Clinical Training Group conducts training of doctors and dentists who graduated from medical schools. Also, this center's Hospital Staff Training Group provides lifelong training for hospital staff.

Scope of Medical Services

Providing initial clinical training for doctors and dentists fresh out of medical schools, this center supports their career plan in the Tokai region. The center also runs Skills and IT Laboratory, providing an effective training environment and training programs for all staff of the hospital.

Features

Playing a role as headquarters for medical and clinical training, this center offers seamless education and training plans from medical schools, pregraduate training, postgraduate training, up to lifelong training for doctors and dentists, and manages lifelong training programs for hospital staff.

Medical Service Results

Lectures were held periodically for intern doctors and workshops for hospital staff, and in 2010, a total of seven lectures and workshops were held with a total of 60 people in attendance. Skills and IT Laboratory is used by 1,000 or more groups (approx. 17,000 people) a year, which is the highest usage in the Japan Medical Society.

Other Undertakings

Nagoya University Hospital conducts a medical specialist qualification acquisition support program for young doctors' training in the region in cooperation with seven university hospitals in the Tokai region. This program will help solve the shortage of doctors in the region.
