Industry-Academia Collaborative ChairLaboratory of Bell Research Center-Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology collaborative research

The Laboratory of Bell Research Center–Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology collaborative research has been established as a collaborative research laboratory by the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Bell Research Center.  Our goal is to enhance basic research in order to develop new treatment methods in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

We pursue research in three directions.  1) Physiology of reproduction system: we study basic mechanisms of follicle development and ovulation control.  2) Research for Perinatal period care medicine: we study basic mechanisms of placenta development and search for early biological markers for pregnancy-induced hypertension.  3) Gynecologic cancer research: we study the basic biology (molecular mechanisms) of epithelial-mesenchymal transition of cancer cells and the basic research for the oncolytic virotherapy.
