Hospital Discharge

Before you leave the hospital, please obtain permission from your doctor and confirmation from the chief nurse on your ward. Then go through the following procedure:

  1. Submit your Health Insurance Card and Hospital Card Hospital Card to the Inpatient Reception to start the discharge procedure.
  2. Complete payment of all expenses incurred for your hospital stay at the Inpatient Reception on the first floor of the Ward Building or at the automatic payment machine in front of the Cashier (Receipts) on the first floor of the Outpatient Building.

After-hours discharge

If you leave the hospital after normal hours, please go to the After-Hours Reception Desk (first floor, Central Consultation Building) to complete the discharge procedure.
If you are given a bill at the time of your discharge, please complete the payment before you leave the hospital. If not, you will receive the bill when you make your first outpatient visit after discharge, or an invoice will be mailed later by post. In the former case, please pay the billed amount together with the fee for the outpatient visit; in the latter case, please pay the amount indicated on the invoice.

Before being discharged from the hospital, you will be asked to fill in the Agreement (After-Hours Discharge) Form at the After-Hours Reception Desk.

For medical treatment after discharge

At the consultation counter for patients located in the Community Liaison Center on the first floor of the Outpatient Building nurses provide counseling for patients who have worries or concerns about healthcare after returning home from hospital as well as for family members who will be caring for patients. Please feel free to visit the office.
