微生物・免疫学分子病原細菌学(細菌学)

研究室概要

医療関連感染症および市中感染症で問題となる、ブドウ球菌(MRSAを含む)属、レンサ球菌属、バチルス属菌、大腸菌や肺炎桿菌などの腸内細菌科菌種、緑膿菌やアシネトバクター属菌などのブドウ糖非発酵菌群、ヘモフィルス属菌などについて、病原因子、薬剤耐性機構などの研究を行っています。研究では基本的な細菌学的解析手法に加え、遺伝子解析、LC-MS/MS等を用いたタンパク質解析(プロテオーム解析)などを活用し、細菌感染症の診断/予防/治療に貢献する成果を目指しています。

感染症の発症機序や細菌の耐性機構に興味をお持ちで意欲のある方の応募をお待ちしています。大学院生の卒業学部は問いませんが、医学系、薬学系、農学部など生物系の出身学生が多くいます。卒業生の進路は病院勤務(医師・薬剤師・看護士・臨床検査技師)をはじめ、国家/地方公務員、企業、アカデミックポジションなど。

また、基礎研究に興味のある学部在籍者も受け入れており、基礎医学セミナーの延長として研究をすることで、国内外の学会発表などを経験しています。感染症は基礎の中でも臨床に直結する学問分野であり、ここで得られる知識や技術は将来大いに役立つと考えます。
