Student Voices

Hear directly from our students about learning, research, and life in the MPH program--what surprised them, what challenged them, and what helped them grow.
Some ways to build the student voices section:

1) "3 quotes + quick profile"

Show 3-6 short testimonials in cards. Each card includes:

  • Quote (1-3 sentences)
  • Name (or initials), cohort year
  • Background (e.g., MD, nurse, social science, data)
  • Focus area (e.g., Epidemiology, Health Policy, Environmental Health)

2) "Day in the life" mini-stories (more immersive)

Feature 2 students with a short paragraph each:

  • What they studied before
  • What they're researching now
  • What a typical week looks like
  • One "surprise" or learning moment

3. "Before → During → After" outcomes format

Ask students to answer the same 3 prompts:

  • Before MPH, I was...
  • In the MPH, I learned...
  • After graduation, I plan to...

4) Short video

One 60-90 second video (phone quality is fine) with captions + 2 pull quotes underneath.
Example "prompt questions" to collect real student voices
We can send these to students as a short google forms:

  • Why did you choose this MPH program?
  • What has been the most valuable skill you gained so far?
  • How has supervision/research group experience been?
  • What's one course or assignment that changed how you think?
  • What is it like being an international student (if applicable)?
  • What advice would you give to incoming students?
