A variety of scholarships are available to support students who are interested in enrolling in the Master of Public Health (MPH) program and pursuing their studies in Japan. Applicants who require financial assistance are encouraged to contact the relevant organizations or designated personnel in advance to obtain information on scholarship opportunities and application procedures.

For Prospective Students
Prospective students are advised to explore available scholarships prior to application, if necessary, and to confirm eligibility requirements and deadlines with the respective funding bodies.

For Current MPH Students Planning to Continue to a PhD
Current MPH students who intend to proceed to a doctoral program after completing the master's degree are encouraged to seek information on scholarships and financial support options for doctoral studies, if necessary, at an early stage.

Scholarships and Financial Support for Prospective Master of Public Health Students
1.    Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship - Embassy Recommendation
* Note that master course applicants at Nagoya University are not eligible to apply for university-recommended Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship
Japanese embassies and consular offices are responsible for processing applications and selecting candidates. Applicants should obtain application guidelines from the Japanese embassy or consular office in their country or region of residence and prepare the required documents accordingly. Application periods typically run from February to April at Japanese embassies and consular offices. Applicants who successfully pass the written examination and/or interview will be recommended to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) for final approval.
To obtain a provisional acceptance letter from Nagoya University, applicants should contact the relevant faculty or graduate school directly.

4. CIBoG WISE Program
The Convolution of Informatics and Biomedical Sciences on Glocal Alliances (CIBoG) WISE Program integrates biomedical sciences and informatics to provide interdisciplinary and practice-oriented education. The program aims to develop highly skilled PhD-level professionals, including researchers, government officials, and entrepreneurs, who can contribute to the advancement of individualized preventive medicine in society.
Master's students enrolled in this program are eligible for a full tuition waiver. Please note that this system is subject to change, and students should refer to the latest information provided by the administrative office. Students who do not proceed to the doctoral course after completing the master's program will not be eligible for the tuition waiver.

5. Admission Fee Deferral and Tuition Fee Exemption for Privately Financed International Students
