Graduate School of Medicine, Shimoda Lab, and MotusAcademy Sign MOU

Nagoya, Japan, and Zurich, Switzerland - [01.08.2204] - Tokai National Higher Education and Research System, Nagoya University Graduate School of Medicine, Shimoda Lab, and MotusAcademy are pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at fostering friendship and cooperation, promoting mutual understanding, and facilitating academic, cultural, and scientific exchange.
The MOU was signed by Professor Shingo Shimoda representing Nagoya University and Zen KOH, Founder and CEO of MotusAcademy, witnessed by Professor Denny Oetomo from the University of Melbourne.

Professor Shingo Shimoda said, "This collaboration marks a significant milestone in our efforts to advance medical research and healthcare technology. We are excited about this partnership's opportunities for academic and scientific growth."
Zen KOH commented, "MotusAcademy is honoured to join forces with Nagoya University. This MOU will pave the way for innovative advancements and mutual growth in the healthcare technology sector."
Professor Denny Oetomo added, "The partnership between Nagoya University and MotusAcademy will undoubtedly lead to groundbreaking research and educational initiatives. I am thrilled to witness this momentous occasion."

This MOU establishes a framework for collaboration between Nagoya University and MotusAcademy, aiming to advance their respective missions and enhance their contributions to medical research and healthcare technology. The key areas of cooperation include:
•    Symposia and Conferences: Organising symposia, conferences, short courses, webinars, seminars, workshops, and meetings on technology and research.
•    Information Exchange: Sharing information on teaching, professional development, and research institutions developments.
•    Expert Collaboration: Nagoya University will propose and invite relevant experts to join MotusAcademy's educational and community programs.
•    Mutual Promotion: Promoting information and activities of the other party within the scope of the MOU on their respective websites, subject to prior written approval for the use of any logos or trademarks.
•    Additional Cooperation: Exploring further areas of cooperation as agreed by the parties from time to time.

Key Individuals
Zen KOH, founder and CEO of MotusAcademy, and President and Ambassador of IISART, brings over two decades of experience in the healthcare industry, having held significant positions at Shanghai Fourier Intelligence and Zurich Hocoma. His expertise in medical technology and rehabilitation services has been instrumental in setting new standards in the field.
Denny Oetomo, a professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Melbourne, researches human-robot interaction and teaches subjects in robotics, mechatronics design, and control systems.
Shingo Shimoda, unit leader at the Intelligent Behaviour Control Unit, RIKEN Centre for Brain Science, has substantially contributed to robotics and neurorehabilitation. His extensive research and academic achievements highlight his expertise in this domain.
