Report of the 2nd Research Project Meeting and the 1st Retreat in Atami

The 2nd research project meeting and the 1st retreat of “Brain Protein Aging and Dementia Control” were held on June 12 and 13, 2015 in Heartpia Atami.

For both days, each leader of 7 programmed research projects reported the progress of their research in summary. Furthermore, a researcher of 21 proposed research projects and others presented their research in flash talk and poster session. This was a good opportunity for all participants to exchange their ideas and opinions with other researchers in different fields.

In the evening of June 12, the 1st retreat was held under the comprehensive theme of “Aiming to take the sharing the cutting edge knowledge into higher research level of molecular, cell, animal and human being”. 2 sessions, one was clinical-related, and another was animal imaging research-related, were held in the retreat. Many young researchers participated in the retreat and the discussion was very active. The 1st retreat was very successful and we really appreciate your cooperation.

On final day, the general affairs session was held. Future research collaboration, scheduled events, technical support & resources, promotion of researchers, outreach activities and so on were discussed in the session.

More than 150 researchers and faculties participated in this event and they actively discussed about their research for 2 days. Again, we would like to express our deepest gratitude for all your cooperation.
