Description This is a notice reporting the death of O Chomei (1883-1944).O Chomei was a politician born in Guangdong Province in China.While he usually went by the name "Kishin", he used the pen-name "Seiei".In 1944 at Nagoya Imperial University Hospital, he underwent repeat surgery to remove an assassin's bullet; however, as he was suffering from multiple myeloma the treatment was unsuccessful, and in November of the same year he passed away at the Hospital.After O Chomei's death, an ume (Chinese plum) tree was given by his bereaved family as thanks for the medical care he received; the tree still stands today in the grounds of Daiko Campus, and is known as "O Chomei's Ume".
