In May of Meiji year 6 (1873), Aichi Prefecture rebuilt the temporary hospital at Nishi Hongwanji Nagoya (Betsuin)From January of Meiji year 8 (1875) it was renamed Aichi Prefectural Hospital.In November of Meiji year 7 (1874), a Medical Training School was also established within the Hospital, offering English-language medical education from T. H. JUNGHANS.The Hospital was located within the grounds of the current Nishi Hongwanji Betsuin (Monzen-cho 1, Naka Ward, Nagoya). |
