Description YOKOI Nobuyuki (1846-1891) worked as president of both the Aichi Prefectural Public Hospital (predecessor to NU Hospital) and Public Medical School (predecessor to NU School of Medicine) from Meiji year 12 (1879) to 13 (1880).Around the same time, he also founded the private school "Kosei-sha" and opened a hospital, "Kosei-kan". "Saruzento Hotaishiki" is an abridged translation of "On Bandaging, and Other Operations of Minor Surgery" (1869) by Fitzwilliam W. SARGENT (1820-1889), published in Meiji year 5 (1872) by YOKOI, when he was an advanced assistant professor at Osaka Prefectural Hospital (predecessor to Osaka University).
