Description |
MIMURA Gencho (1792-1853) studied under HANAOKA Seishu (1760-1835) from age 35 to 38, and introduced HANAOKA's style of eclectic Chinese-Dutch surgery to the Owari area.In Koka year 2 (1845) he became a domain doctor, and in his later years, at age 62, became a personal physician (a chief personal physician or pharmacist) to the 10th feudal lord of the Owari domain, TOKUGAWA Naritomo (1793-1850).
