内容 トーマス デンマン（Thomas Denman 1733-1815）は、英国ダービーシャー州ベイクウェル出身の医師です。海軍医療の経験の後に、助産で利益を得ました。横位妊娠における胎児の自然整位であるデンマン自回娩出（Denman's spontaneous evolution）の現象は、彼にちなんで名付けられています。
本書は、北ニュージャ－ジー医学アカデミーの創設者のひとりWilliam S. Disbrow (1861-1922)の蔵書だったものです。
