Practice of Social Medicine

Practice of Social Medicine provides students with opportunities to learn roles of physicians and medical researchers in the society through active participation in analytical experiments and field activities. Each small group of students chooses one of the unique topics offered by faculty members of Social Medicine. Some of the topics are field works by visiting health centers, long-term care facilities, factories, or rural communities. Other topics include analyzing nutrition intakes from weighed food record, identifying their own genetic markers, or discussing issues of bioethics or health care administration. Following these practices, students make presentations and submit reports, so that they can share their knowledge and experience.
