In otology, emphasis is on the diagnosis and treatment of conductive and sensorineural deafness and on the surgical management of otitis media, otosclerosis and perilymphatic fistulae. The chief rhinology interest is in the therapy of allergic rhinitis and sinusitis. Speech and phoniatric disorders take precedence in pharyngolaryngology.
