My experience at Nagoya University was a wonderful one. I was warmly welcomed by all the staff and students there, even though I did not understand the language mainly spoken there. Often, the staff and students will try their best to translate the conversation whenever they could, and always put in extra effort to look out for us. It was definitely interesting to see the healthcare system from another perspective.
On top of that, Nagoya is a beautiful city, especially when exploring the recommendations given to us by all the locals. The city itself has both its cosmopolitan vibe as well as a right amount of greenery. It is not too crowded in the city, and is a beautiful place to live in. With that, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and clerkship in Nagoya University Hospital.
