Clinical Exchange in Japan

The clinical clerkship at Nagoya University Graduate School of Medicine in Anesthesia far exceeded my expectations. Dr. Nishiwaki and the anesthesiology faculty's willingness to teach techniques used in the OR and discuss clinical concepts with me was absolutely excellent. I was also allowed me to participate in pain clinic, which I found valuable for learning treatments and procedures for common pain syndromes. The medical students I met were incredibly welcoming and took me out and about in Nagoya at least once or twice every week. This has been an extraordinary international clerkship experience which I would recommend to anyone.
