Experience Stories in Nagoya Univ. School of Medicine

Mr. Qiu from China

Mr. QiuIt’s a great honor to have been Nagoya University.

Lectures and bedside training are well combined by considerate doctors here. For example, I learn GBS in the morning, see GBS patient in the afternoon and make a short presentation in the next ward round. It might be a challenge for me because such knowledge is fresh but I really enjoy such procedure, good method for learning. In obstetrics and gynecology, many surgeries can be seen from Sesarean section to broadened hysterectomy, as long as you have the basic skill. I also visit the city hospital nearby and get the rough picture of the Japanese medical system. Japanese language is not necessarily needed, for you can find someone who can speak English all the round. Doctors are so kind and profound. They tell me what’s the most delicious food, how to get the cheap ticket, where to book the hotel during weekends and answer my questions about life, history and culture.

Mr. Qiu    I miss the dishes in the student canteen, I miss the scenery of Tsurumai Park from the ninth floor, and mostly, I miss the people here——everyone who gives me knowledge, help and smile.
